About Me

I’m a backend and cloud software engineer with more than four years of experience modernizing enterprise systems across cloud platforms, HR technology, environmental monitoring, IoT, and ERP.

My work spans Azure-to-AWS migration, Go microservice re-engineering, Terraform automation, Kafka-based integration, API architecture, observability, and Kubernetes deployments.

Recent work includes automating Azure IoT Hub capacity to control cost and prevent throttling. Earlier, I increased HR-platform throughput 3× to support more than 3,000 concurrent users and led a first Go microservice initiative.

HR Systems Modernization (ERA/JESSICA)

Company · Telekom Research & Development Sdn Bhd

Enhanced and refactored a legacy HR backend to improve scalability, maintainability, security, and production observability.

Problem
A legacy HR backend needed greater throughput, maintainability, security, and production visibility to support a growing internal user base.
Approach
Refactored backend services, introduced asynchronous RabbitMQ workflows, strengthened authentication, and added Prometheus and Grafana observability.
Result
Increased throughput 3×, scaling the platform from 1,000 to more than 3,000 concurrent users.

Architecture: Event-driven microservices with a centralized API gateway and RabbitMQ for inter-service communication.

How I Think & Work

Who I am

Curious by nature, accountable by choice.

I’m motivated by visible professional growth and by becoming the engineer a team can trust with unfamiliar, complex problems. I don’t stop at completing an assigned task: I work to understand why it matters, contribute ideas, and identify better ways forward. I learn quickly, take ownership, and keep going until I understand not only how something works, but how to make it useful, reliable, and better.

What I’m building toward

Engineering that creates value at scale.

I want to work on technology that produces meaningful value and impact. I’m especially drawn to ambitious, large-scale organizations where strong engineering decisions can improve systems used by many people.

Solve the real problem

Good engineering begins with understanding the actual need. Technology creates value only when it solves a meaningful problem for users or the business.

Design for change and scale

I value clean, maintainable systems that remain reliable as traffic and data grow, while staying easy to configure, extend, operate, and adapt.

Optimize the whole system

Quality means looking beyond code correctness to performance, reliability, operational simplicity, developer experience, and infrastructure cost.

Think beyond the task

I don’t treat requirements as a checklist. I seek the intent behind the work, surface risks, challenge assumptions constructively, and propose ideas that can improve the product, architecture, or delivery.

Continuous learning

Learning beyond the current stack

Reading is part of how I sharpen my engineering judgment. I actively study system design—how services remain available, observable, adaptable, and cost-efficient as traffic, data, and teams grow. I also explore AI, blockchain, Rust, quantum computing, and other emerging technologies that could shape what we build next.
